Overage is billed per call credit at $0.0005 beyond your quota. The Demo plan is hard-capped and never incurs overage. Active domains limit where a key may be used from a browser — subdomains are unlimited and server-to-server calls are never restricted.
Questions people actually ask
- Why do cheaper plans get fresh rates too?
- Because freshness costs us nothing per tenant. One upstream feed is normalised and cached in Redis, then served to everyone. Gating it would be an artificial paywall, so we charge for volume, streaming and history depth instead.
- What exactly is a credit?
- A unit of work. A single-base rate lookup is 1 credit; a multi-year timeseries is 10. This means a light integration is not subsidising a heavy one. Full weights are in the docs.
- What happens when I exceed my quota?
- Paid plans continue serving and bill overage at $0.0005 per credit, itemised on your next invoice. The Demo plan is hard-capped: it stops rather than charges you.
- Will my price change later?
- Not on an existing subscription. If we raise list prices, tenants already signed up keep the terms they joined on, permanently.
- Can I switch between monthly and annual?
- Any time, from the billing page in your dashboard. Switching to annual applies the 20% discount and prorates what you have already paid.
- Where do the rates come from?
- Fiat comes from a licensed interbank mid-market feed, cross-checked against the European Central Bank's daily reference; anything drifting more than 2% is rejected. Crypto comes directly from major exchange WebSockets.
